Access theKey responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership to project managers delivering infrastructure projects.
- Plan the delivery of the construction teams program of work, including having input into procurement strategy, resource requirements, cost and time management and stakeholder management strategies.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on contractual issues and contract performance.
- Act on behalf of the Principal in the delivery of contracts as defined and delegated at respective development / implementation project phases.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the program of works you will be responsible for and determine changes to processes with a view to obtaining continuous improvements in efficiency, productivity and setting strategies.
- Ensure performance management systems are in place and effective in supporting the delivery of the program of works and individual projects within the program.
- Ensure the application of all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and quality of outcomes is maintained with respect to all phases of project delivery of road infrastructure projects on the works program.
- Provide reports on the progress of works and actual and forecast expenditure.
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.
- A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence
- Skilled in leading a team of diverse technical and non-technical specialists to deliver a program of work fostering a safe and inclusive work place.
- Highly experienced in contract management and the maintenance of good relationships with contractors.
- Expert project and program manager.
- Experienced in developing management strategies to minimize stakeholder complaints and in managing difficult external stakeholders.
- Desirable: Traffic Management Design qualification
