AddressTroocooTroocoo Government are assisting a large Government client recruit a Principal Finance Officer (AO7) - this is an initial 3 month contract based in South Brisbane/Southbank.
- $80.91 p/hour + super - contractor rate
- Focus on financial operations and financial integrity (blended role!)
- Commencing immediately!
- Financial Oversight and Management: Oversee the development and management of Funding Arrangements, program management budgets, forecasting, reporting and reconciliation of transaction detail reports, and management of all expenditure. Ensure financial operations adhere to Queensland Government financial standards and practices.
- Accounts Management: Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate creation and monitoring of purchase orders, diligent data entry of invoices, and robust vendor statement reconciliation and tracking of grant payements.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports ensuring compliance.
- Strategic Financial Support: Provide strategic advice and support to the leadership team, liaise with departmental finance officers and key external Government departments to ensure financial processes are aligned with strategic objectives.
- Advanced Financial Skills: Comprehensive understanding of financial management within government settings, including expertise in Queensland Government financial legislation and policies, procurement, and grants administration.
- Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and develop a team of finance professionals, with strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration.
- Strategic Thinking: Capability to think strategically and integrate financial management with the broader organisational goals
