About the Role:
As the Principal Human Resources Consultant, you will:
- Lead and oversee project teams in the development, implementation, maintenance and review of programs.
- Review programs, systems, policies and procedures to support the human resource management functions and strategic objectives.
- Use individual and team capabilities to delegate tasks effectively and negotiate the responsibility of work outcomes.
- Coordinate or assist in the planning and delivery of training for staff in relation to human resource management issues associated with the branches or area's responsibilities.
- Represent the unit at high level negotiations in a variety of forums on issues relating to the functional activities of the branch or area.
- Critically evaluate and interpret data, policies and processes to propose options and solutions that appropriately respond to client and stakeholder needs.
- Promote a challenging, equitable, ethical and safe work environment for staff which encourages commitment, skills development and professional growth, and continuous improvement.
- Experience designing and leading the implementation of business process improvement initiatives in a HR context.
- Committed to high standard and quality of work in a complex organisation.
- Advanced HR advisory capabilities and expertise in an ability to advise at a senior level.
- An ability to provide strategic guidance and expert advice on employment award and instrument interpretation.
