About the role
The purpose of this role is to ensure Metro North HHS is effectively reporting, assessing and dealing with complaints of suspected corrupt conduct and misconduct made about staff, including complying with administrative and legislative obligations outlined in (but not limited to):
- Crime and Corruption Act 2001
- Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010
- Medicines and Poisons (Medicines) Regulation 2021
- Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and conducting complex investigations of misconduct, suspected corrupt conduct and public interest disclosures with the ability to operate effectively in a sensitive and complex work environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in the interpretation, application and provision of advice regarding legislation, regulation, policies and procedures as they relate to the management of complex investigations of suspected corrupt conduct, misconduct, public interest disclosures and human rights complaints
- Demonstrated expertise in assessment and management of complaints involving corrupt conduct, misconduct, human rights and public interest disclosures
- Excellent interpersonal, liaison and communication skills, including the capacity and ability to work within a team, and negotiate or communicate with influence on behalf of the Health Service with key internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills, including ability to prepare high level documents, investigation reports and briefing notes for delegates including Executive Directors, Chief Executive, the Board and the Minister
- Personal integrity, a high degree of self-awareness and the ability to empower others.
