Joint Ventures, specialising in governance and commercial management. The role reports to the Manager,
Joint Ventures and will work in close collaboration with key leads across various Fortescue business functions and representatives of Fortescue's JV Partners. The role covers a dynamic range of responsibilities such as corporate governance, commercial management, financial modelling and assessment, operational and management reporting, risk management and key contract management.This position would be best suited to an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, challenging environment and demonstrates a high-level of resilience and flexibility. The role requires analytical, strategic thinking and strong stakeholder engagement to innovate and drive solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and foster effective collaboration routines between and across Fortescue's business functions, Fortescue's JVs and JV partners
- Prepare and deliver periodic operational and management reporting, and presentations
- Coordinate and facilitate technical, operational and/or commercial assessments and prepare recommendations to Management & Executive
- Effectively coordinate and/or execute corporate governance in the context of Joint Venture arrangements
Qualifications and Experience- Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business, economics, engineering or related
- Minimum 10 years' relevant industry experience
- Strong experience in commercial ventures, due diligence, commercial, financial & economic analysis
- Demonstrated experience in complex negotiations and dispute resolutions, corporate governance
- Advanced understanding of business planning and broad understanding of key aspects of mining operations and various business functions (Legal, Company Secretariat, Finance, Tax, FP&A, Health & Safety, Marketing & Shipping, Energy, Community, Environment and Government)
