The Principal Advisor position provides a great opportunity for a high-performing individual to formulate partnerships to shape housing and homelessness reform for the Victorian Aboriginal community. This will be done through developing strong relationships with the Aboriginal community and with various departments across government. You will be part of a small, dynamic fast-paced team which develops, evaluates and implements policies advice and key programs at a strategic level and liaises closely with those working at an operational level. You will have demonstrable experience of being a critical and analytical thinker; being proactive and organised; and having excellent stakeholder management, communication and project management skills.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

• Manage and oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
• Leading research, analysis and implementation of complex projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
• Managing and overseeing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
• Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.

• Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.
• Proactively build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
