The role
Working within our Financial Strategy unit, you will
- Provide oversight of the City’s capital portfolio delivery
- Implement and maintain the Project Management Framework (inclusive of project controls) and be flexible and creative in its ongoing refinement in accordance with business needs.
- Support improvement opportunities in relation to project management, including the ongoing contribution to project management capability; capital investment frameworks and reporting.
About You
Do you have a background in managing a group of projects, working in a program management office, process improvement, or change management and are seeking a new challenge?
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have demonstrated experience in portfolio and project management/PMO services, including data management and analysis and project risk identification
- Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate to all levels both verbally and in writing
- Experience in preparing and adapting policy and/or organisational frameworks with an emphasis on outcomes
- Demonstrated knowledge and comprehension of project management methodologies and their integration with project management systems, processes and controls
- Have the ability to develop content and facilitate training across an organisation.
- Proactive, self-starting approach to work, with ability to think innovatively
- A strong customer service focus and ability to interact and consult with managers, staff, contractors and volunteers in a team environment
