Our client from the Queensland Government is in search of a Principal Project Officer to aid in the planning and execution of infrastructure capital and maintenance programs and projects. The goal is to optimise the government's return on investment for their $1.5 billion property asset portfolio.
This role will assist in a variety of infrastructure planning activities, including the development of asset management plans & asset registers, program budgets, campus master plans and project plans, aimed at ensuring state owned sites are contemporary and fit for purpose.
Duties:
- Facilitate capital and maintenance program delivery by overseeing financial and business processes, including transaction processing, project and funding reconciliations, project closure, and reporting asset captures.
- Take a leadership role in developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing assessments of asset lifecycle conditions, supporting management and internal stakeholders in maintaining workplace health and safety, and disaster management planning processes.
- Manage the development and delivery works involving the upgrade, renewal and compliance of the state wide infrastructure.
- Manage and report on current and emerging program risks including risks associated with the level of legislative compliance of the state-wide training infrastructure.
- Prepare high quality written documentation including senior executive briefings, government submissions and proposals that satisfy program governance reporting requirements.
- Contribute to providing sustainable social infrastructure solutions through the development, coordination and review of funding submissions and master planning activities.
- Support a wide range of investigation, analysis and evaluation of infrastructure management strategies that promotes maximum outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage complex building/facilities projects
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with the team, key stakeholders, and service providers.
- Effectively handle numerous priorities in a dynamic setting, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.
- A comprehensive understanding or the ability to swiftly acquire knowledge of contemporary Asset Management/Facilities Management practices.
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team environment, showcasing highly developed communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
