About the Role
- Provide advice to business areas and staff in the development of responsive, inclusive policies, programs, services and management strategies to support implementation of Metro South Health's First Nations Health Equity Strategy – Priority 6 Strengthen the First Nations Workforce.
- Undertake high level liaison, consultation and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations, to ensure the delivery of outcomes relevant to the implementation of the First Nations Health Equity Strategy and broader health service priorities.
- Drive the development of a progressive workplace culture that values diversity and inclusion, particularly in relation to the attraction, retention, and development of First Nations employees at all levels.
- Provide high level advice to Executive and Senior Management, staff and key stakeholders on First Nations workforce issues that may impact health service workforce planning, and delivery of services to meet strategic and operational direction and priorities.
- Participate as a member on a range of governance committees that are responsible for driving and supporting implementation of the MSH First Nations Health Equity Strategy.
- Manage the development and implementation of programs and initiatives to address First Nations workforce uplift including workforce planning and workforce capability and to influence and shape organisational culture to contribute to the development of a diverse workforce.
