The Principal Project Officer will strategically lead and manage the development, growth and implementation of all DE International inbound short-term activities, ensuring long term financial return, successful outcomes and compliance with all legislative requirements applicable to such commercial activities, as well as promote and sell DE International's short-term programs, within a competitive commercial business environment to achieve business outcomes.
Responsibilities also include:
- Provide expert advice and support to the Manager on strategic policy issues, projects and activities within the work unit.
- Assist the Manager in leading and managing the development of new products and projects from conceptualisation to the final product, including product planning, feasibility, design, policy formation, negotiation of commercial agreements, liaison with key local and international stakeholders, production and product implementation.
- Manage the provision of high standard of service delivery to students through regular monitoring of their adjustment and achievement through planned communication with participating schools.
- Provide leadership and direction to support staff and foster collaborative work processes that focus on customer service, improving work systems and encouraging initiative and innovation.
- Coordinate and manage support programs for various Queensland State schools involved in short term commercial programs, including policy formation, information and training, ongoing advice, quality assurance, with regular feedback to the Manager and / or Director.
- Represent the Department in forums as required by senior management.
- Domestic and or international travel may be required.
