About Your Opportunity
As the Principal Risk, Governance & Assurance, you will lead a small team of professionals in the delivery of services to the program and project teams. Working closely with corporate functions, you will oversee the risk, governance and assurance processes for the program of work to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to risk, governance and compliance management.
As a leader, you will also play a key role using your leadership capabilities to enable and embed Seqwater’s culture and encourages improved performance, safety and customer experience.
This role is responsible for:
- Lead a team of professionals in the provision of contemporary and best practice risk, governance and assurance advice and supporting activities that enables the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery Group to meet its obligations and deliver fit for purpose projects.
- Lead and coordinate risk management and assurance activities in accordance with Seqwater’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Work collaboratively with corporate areas to ensure consistent and efficient services.
- Lead and oversee a program of audit activities and risk reviews, ensuring project risks are managed and audit recommendations are actions to achieve the intended outcomes.
- Lead and coordinate the preparation and delivery of regular project and program reporting, relating to risk, governance and assurance activities.
- Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging program and project risks and issues, and work with management and project teams to resolve.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Risk, Governance, Compliance, Law, or other relevant discipline along with demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Sound understanding of certified systems and their application including IS09001, 22000, 45001 and 14001.
- Alignment with Seqwater values
Desirable:
- Qualification in Project Management
- Demonstrated experience in combining best practices, industry trends, methodology knowledge, and experience to achieve the best approach and solution.
- Experience in water infrastructure projects.
This position will be offered as an individual TFR package with an attractive salary and is a permanent full time role.
