Principal Security Architect
- Location Parramatta CBD with access to hybrid work arrangements
- Full time ongoing opportunity (35 hours per week)
- Salary from $139,787 to $161,663 pa. + super and annual leave loading

The Principal Security Architect is responsible for ensuring security is appropriately considered throughout the entire project governance lifecycle, including solution design, solution implementation, tender evaluation and procurement. Furthermore, the role is also responsible for:
- Maintaining risk assessment tools that incorporate new or changed security requirements dictated by internal and external factors.
- Maintaining a library of security controls.
- Monitoring the security posture of the Department's critical systems and vendors.
- Assessing and implementing external services to improve the efficiency of Security Architecture services.
- Provide security consultation and risk assessing cloud hosting arrangements and all ICT solution designs.
- Ensure solution designs implement appropriate protective controls and processes which support and or develop compliance levels.
- Ensure designs comply with Information security policy and standards.
- Development and continuous improvement of the Security Architecture capability.
- Contribute to the development of the cyber security strategy and the cyber security roadmap.
- Participate in the operation of the Information Security Management System.
- Develop and deliver reporting and compliance testing to quantify the effectiveness of protective controls.
- Undertake investigations and risk assessments to provide comprehensive, evidence-based advice and recommendations including reports, submissions, briefing notes, file notes and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and relevance of data collated to enable required action to be taken.
- Identify and address potential systemic issues and themes by analysing data collated to provide input into changes to relevant procedure and/or policy.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Relevant information security and/or risk certification (e.g. CISSP, CISA, SABSA, Cloud Security, ISO 27001, ISO 31000)
