St Joseph’s School is seeking a Principal to continue to build on the strong catholic identity and mission of the school and uphold the reputation of Catholic Education South Australia’s top performing school in NAPLAN literacy and numeracy.
The RolePriority areas and responsibilities include:
Sustainability and Strategic Leadership
- Strengthen the presence of our middle school, making it the school of choice until Year 9.
- Maintain prudent fiscal management to support future capital acquisitions and increase the school's footprint.
- Develop business plans to ensure enrolment growth remains strong and an understanding of a workforce development strategy to optimise employment opportunities at the school.
Teaching and Learning
- Develop leadership capability and foster a cohesive, professional culture focused on innovative, evidence-based best practices.
- Ensure agile curriculum alignment with current teaching methodologies and student needs.
- Create a distinct curriculum delivery for the Middle School years.
Community Engagement
- Actively participate within the community to foster strong relationships and enhance the school's presence.
- Foster connections with the P&F and wider parent group to enhance community engagement and contribution.
- Is passionate about community and service to others.
- Posses a sound educational knowledge around curriculum and pedagogical practices which elicit exceptional outcomes for young people
- Is dedicated to advancing St. Joseph’s as the leading R-9 educational facility in the region.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and evidence of broad stakeholder engagement across community
- Seek to participate within the community, including parish, families, local organisations, local industry persons etc.
