About the role
We have a permanent Principal Water Projects Engineer position available within the Water Infrastructure Delivery Program. This position is responsible for providing professional service to Logan Water and Council Management through delivery of design, project management and construction services. You will ensure that internal and external delivery partners, third parties and government agencies are compliant.
Elements of the role include:
- Undertake professional project planning in delivery of water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects
- Develop project budgets and manage time and cost performance of projects
- Manage, coordinate, and deliver a range of complex water and wasteWater Projects
- Monitor and report on the Infrastructure Delivery Team activities’ and performance
- Benchmark and assess Infrastructure Delivery Team performance against industry and regulatory peers and partners
- Adopt and use lean management approach in the delivery of assigned activities
- Promote and create a team culture where work is delivered efficiently, continuously improving performance and capability
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Successfully and positively motivate and lead the Infrastructure Delivery Team
Ideally, you will have:
- Extensive work experience in a project management role in the water industry
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of water supply and wastewater infrastructure design, construction, operation and/or management
- Relevant experience in a design/project management role, including tender processes and contract administration.
- Self-driven with demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including team staff, contractors, and consultants
- Post graduate qualifications would be advantageous
Mandatory:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in an appropriate relevant discipline with eligibility for Membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia
- Must maintain registration as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ)
- 'C' class drivers' licence
- White Card - 30215 General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) ticket
- Vaccinations: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Qfever and Tetanus.
- Ability to pass all pre-employment and background checks
NOTE: This position offers a 10% TMCA (Temporary Market Conditions Allowance) on top of the base salary from Stream A Level 8.1.
