About the role
We have a permanent Senior Water Projects EngineerPrivate Works position available within the Water Infrastructure Delivery Program. This position is responsible for supporting private water and wastewater construction works and new connection services. You will be coordinating and providing engineering and technical support ensuring efficient delivery and customer satisfaction.
Elements of the role include:
- Carry out on-site field investigations and desktop studies to determine the scope of Private Work requests
- Liaison with Technical Lead (Private Works), Field Supervisors and other stakeholders
- Plan delivery of all Private Works jobs and liaise with planners and schedulers
- Provide input and coordinate daily/weekly work programs in liaison with supervisors
- Lead and supervise complex projects for safe delivery of work
- Monitor progress of projects to ensure compliance with programmed work
- Ensure all construction works are completed in accordance with environmental and Workplace Health and Safety procedures and requirements
Ideally, you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of water supply and wastewater infrastructure design
- Ability to interpret legislation relevant to Queensland water service providers
- Understanding of the processes of land development and building services and procedures
- Self driven under limited direction, with proven capacity to motivate others
Mandatory:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in an appropriate relevant discipline acceptable for Membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia
- Must maintain registration as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ).
- 'C' class drivers' licence
- White Card - 30215 General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) ticket
- Vaccinations: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Qfever and Tetanus.
- Ability to pass all pre-employment and background checks
NOTE: This position offers a 10% TMCA (Temporary Market Conditions Allowance) on top of the base salary from Stream A Level 7.1.
