Print Operations Manager

We are looking for an Operations Manager who is passionate about creating and maintaining a seamless one-stop shopping experience for our customers. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the integration of our diverse product range—from printed identification and promotional products to commercial printing, signage, and apparel. Your leadership will ensure operational efficiency and exceptional service, reinforcing our commitment to being a comprehensive solution provider. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial printing and manufacturing, with a proven track record of managing operational workflows, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Operational Oversight:
  - Manage daily operations in our commercial print and manufacturing division.
  - Ensure smooth and efficient workflow throughout the production process. 

2. Process Improvement:
  - Continuously assess and improve operational processes for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  - Implement best practices in print production and manufacturing operations. 

3. Quality and Compliance:
  - Uphold high standards of quality control and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  - Address any quality issues swiftly and implement corrective actions. 

4. Team Management:
  - Lead and motivate a team of supervisors, and other operational personnel.
  - Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
  - Run daily toolbox meetings to discuss production schedule, challenges and goals for the week. 

5. Problem-Solving:
  - Proactively identify operational challenges and develop effective solutions.
  - Maintain a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day issues and emergencies. 

6. Communication and Collaboration:
  - Liaise with all departments, including sales, customer service, design, production, and warehouse to ensure alignment of operational objectives.
  - Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages efficiency and teamwork. 

7. Reporting and Analysis:
  - Monitor operational metrics and provide regular reports to the General Manager.
  - Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement. 

Qualifications:

Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years in operations management within the commercial printing industry, or able to show relevant alternative experience and outlined in cover letter.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications are a plus.

It will require the successful applicant to be hands on with both machinery and staff, and understand technical aspects of both the printing industry and specialty equipment.
