What you’ll be doing in this role?The Latrobe Priority Primary Care Centre (PPCC) provides GP-led care for non-life-threatening conditions, without the need for people to visit an emergency department. The Latrobe PPCC provides immediate high-quality care for patients with non-life threatening injuries or illnesses.The Priority Primary Care Nurse undertakes triage and assessment of clients presenting to the PPCC and provides direct care and manages routine functions of the clinic within scope of practice. Your work will include:Assess conditions of patients attending the clinic, and triage accordingly to PPCC clinical practice guidelines.Implement treatment requirements through the provision of direct nursing care such as pain management and/or other under the General Practitioner/Nurse Practitioner direction or as per other action as required.Monitor clients during wait periods, and reassess condition as per PPCC clinical practice guidelines, escalate triage where required. What we’re looking for:Tertiary qualification in NursingAHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse)A current Victorian Drivers LicenceA current Working with Children Check (Employee)Emergency department triage experience (desirable) What’s in it for you?
