About the role:
The Private Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for setting up and maintaining Private Cloud computing infrastructure and will ensure operations and services are running efficiently.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Proficiency in network and hardware technologies;
- Proficiency in shared storage technologies;
- Knowledge of data privacy laws;
- Proficiency with Active Directory Domain Services;
- Knowledge of setting up and managing Private Cloud computing services like platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS);
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and self-hosted Azure DevOps tool;
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD);
- Set up and configure servers and virtual machines;
- Experience in core infrastructure technologies e.g. Virtualisation - VMware, OS - Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, AD Domain Services, Logging and Monitoring – Splunk, prmetheus, Azure DevOps Server, Infrastructure as Code – terraform, ansible etc., Containerisation – Red Hat Open Shift, Docker;
- Manage on-premises and cloud storage systems;
- Troubleshoot problems associated with infrastructures and systems;
- Maintain IT infrastructure best practices and follow the necessary security regulations.
- Seasoned practitioner with specific qualifications or industry training (Bachelors or above) or relevant industry experience of more than 5+ years, Relevant Industry experience.
- Experience in ICT infrastructure and ICT services.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in an agile team environment.
Initial term: 12 months
Extension: 6 months extension option
Clearance: Australian Citizens with NV1 clearance
