Our Federal Government client is looking for an experienced Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Canberra for developing software, integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) software, documenting technical processes and assisting with testing and deployment. A lead role also available that will be required to perform an extensive range of complex technical work activities and undertake work that requires the application of fundamental and advanced knowledge in a wide and often unpredictable range of situations.
Key responsibilities- Lead the development of Cloud-based systems and services.
- Lead the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk. Conduct post release reviews.
- Contribute to the specification and design of Cloud-based software to meet defined requirements by following agreed design standards and principles.
- Lead the planning, design, management and deployment of Cloud-based platforms and services, using appropriate testing tools and techniques, whilst conforming to agreed process standards and industry specific regulations
- Drive the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures, produce documentation in accordance with ASD policies and procedures.
- Contribute to design reviews, stakeholder meetings and agile processes.
- Negative Vetting 2 security clearance mandatory
- Proficient in software development, including experience with Go and/or similar languages.
- Skilled in utilising public Cloud platforms and services like AWS & Azure.
- Experienced in stakeholder requirement collection and development, able to contribute ideas effectively in a team environment.
- Advanced software development abilities.
- Proven expertise in defining requirements and managing priorities in complex environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder engagement and providing specialised advice, along with experience in stakeholder requirement collection and development within integrated Agile teams.
- Initial 12-month contract with possible extension available
- Work for a large department in support of Australia’s national security
- Two roles available (SFIA-4 Engineer & SFIA-5 Lead Engineer)
