Process Automation Engineer

• Initial contract until 30 June 2024, with 2 x 12-month extension options
• No Award applies for this role: Rates from $110.00 per hour are offered (inclusive of superannuation and casual loading) - dependant on skills and experience.
• 8 hours per day - 40 hours per week
• Australian Citizens required - Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
• Locations: Canberra ACT, Sydney NSW, Brisbane QLD

About the Role:

A Federal Government Agency requires a Process Automation Engineerto play a crucial role in identifying opportunities for process improvement, ensuring that automated solutions align with business objectives and IT best practices. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain Process Automation solutions across the Department. They will develop and implement solutions that extend and enhance the functionality of Azure and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify repetitive tasks, developing scripts or workflows to automate them
• Integrate different systems and tools to enhance efficiency
• Continuously improve automation processes to reduce manual intervention, minimise errors, and increase overall productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their business requirements and design customised solutions.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to develop and implement solutions that extend and enhance the functionality of Azure and ServiceNow
• Ability to provide technical guidance on best practices and recommend optimal solutions.
• Ability to prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for solutions implemented.
