Your Impact:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational excellence of our network and telephony services. You will be responsible for managing and optimising our IT infrastructure, working closely with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams. Your contributions will help future-proof our systems and maintain high service levels, supporting the growth and strategic goals of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of IT networking and telephony infrastructure, ensuring adherence to KPIs.
- Manage and sustain enterprise infrastructure, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures based on industry best practices and JSOX requirements.
- Collaborate with key technology partners and vendor management to maintain current standards and secure, resilient systems.
- Provide 24x7 level 3 support as the escalation point for service providers and internal staff.
About You:
- ITIL Foundations Certificate; Vendor Certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCDP level, CCNA preferred).
- Expertise in designing and implementing physical and wireless networks, maintaining network performance, and securing network systems.
- Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, troubleshooting network problems, and escalating problems to vendor.
- In-depth understanding of L2 switching and L3 routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BGP, multicast, MPLS (LAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, L3 VPN, L2 VPN, VPLS, preferably from a provider point of view).
- Understanding of Wireless technologies and devices (CAPWAP, WLC, FlexConnect, etc.)
- Implementing Cisco ISE dot1x, MAB, TACACS+, Authentication and Authorization policies.
- Proficiency with Cisco routing, Palo Alto, Solarwinds, SDWAN devices, L2/L3 routing protocols, and wireless technologies.
- Azure skills will be considered advantageous for the role.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with large IT service providers and building strong relationships for business success.
