Do you want to build and develop a career you can be proud of? We are looking for a Graduate Process Engineer, 1-2 yrs. experience or recently completed studies, to join the Life-Space Group Operational team in Clayton, Victoria.
The Graduate Process Engineer provides engineering support to the Manufacturing Operations in optimizing efficient process flow, reduce process or product variability. We want someone to challenge and create best practice for the business. This role will also be instrumental in improving process capability.
Key outcomes of the role include:
- Design and develop processes to optimize efficient process flow, reduce process or product variability, improve process capability, and improve safety.
- Develop, verify, and validate equipment/technology from process development to successful commercialization.
- Evaluate current processes and provide recommendations
- Researching new packaging/manufacturing technologies and associated costs v’s future revenue gain and improve efficiency
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the assigned engineering projects
- Participate in process improvement projects in relation to improve product, quality and performance and reduce overall costs
- Communicate business and technical needs, status, results, and observations to operating, technical and business personnel
- Determine process capability for all developed processes
- Identify and troubleshoot process-related issues
- Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality output
- Perform risk assessments as required
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- 1-2 years’ experience or recently completed a degree in Engineering (Preferably - Mechanical / Chemical)
- Previous experience working in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Complimentary Medicine industry highly desirable
- Mandarin speaking and writing essential
- Experience/exposure within medium to large manufacturing facilities
- Experience in Project Management advantageous
- Proven implementation of manufacturing methodologies and robust procedures
- A working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Design skills/Process improvement/Technical understanding/Documentation skills
- Analytical thinker with excellent interpersonal/influencing skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools and scheduling software
