Continuous Improvement Leader PMO
Reporting to the Manager, Program Services, the Continuous Improvement Leader, PMO will be responsible for leading a team of 4 direct reports to deliver and a Lean Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to focus on delivering business value, not developing complex processes. The key to success is being able to simplify the processes, make them fit for purpose, and ensuring they are clearly explained, understood and aligned with the needs of stakeholders.The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in building strong stakeholder relationships, exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage business expectations in a transparent and positive fashion. They will be experienced in establishing and leading a Lean PMO capability with both business and technical skills.key responsibilities:· Work collaboratively towards achieving the outcomes of the Corporate Strategy and Technology Strategy.· Build and maintain internal and external relationships promoting collaboration and focus on effective technology service delivery.· Focus on Lean project management and continuous improvement· Identify and manage the organisational and process constraints within a project lifecycle· Ensure a continuous flow of work to ensure that no part of the system is overloaded· Ability to identify and implement small, visible quick wins in continuous improvement and ensure all stakeholders are engaged and part of the success· Ability to look for wasteful practices in continuous improvement processes, and remove constraints to improve the project lifecycle· Ability to use portfolio and resource management best practice to prioritise projects based on business valueTo be successful in this role:· Demonstrated experience in leading, developing or implementing PMO for multidisciplinary organisations· Experience in Agile and IT project delivery and the software development lifecycle· Experience in leading, motivating and developing effective teams to drive business value and stakeholder engagement· Certification and experience/understanding of PMI-ACP, CSM, Prince2,PMP, Agile, Lean, Six-Sigma· Strong level of communication and interpersonal and negotiation skills in potentially complex situations· Considerable knowledge of PMO practice and methodologies
