What does the role involve
We have exciting opportunities for process and Packing Operators to join our team. Reporting to the Production Manager, these roles are at the very heart of our business by making our NU-LAX products which we are known and loved for! Working at our immaculate and impressive Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) licensed facility in Rowville, we have two separate teams – Process and Packing.
Process Operators will primarily be responsible for preparing batches of NU-LAX products and following a standardised recipe. There are several stages to the batch process which involve good written and numeracy skills, some repetitive lifting (up to maximum of 12.5kg), weighing, measuring and batch mixing. Working and documentation to high Quality standards is a mandatory requirement, and will be sure to keep you stimulated physically and mentally!
Packing Operatorsare primarily responsible for packing finished goods and completing ‘in process’ check sheets to ensure compliance with TGA requirements. There will be frequent rotation amongst our 3 packing lines which include blocks, bars and tablets so you'll never get bored!
Both roles:
- Daily and weekly, external cleaning of machinery, work stations and surrounding areas to the highest standard.
- Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards to ensure all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are met
- Assist in trialing and implementing New Product Development (NPD) initiatives
- Assist in implementing new and improved processes to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Company
- Maintain equipment in working order and bring to the attention of management any equipment requiring repair or that maybe unsafe.
- Great attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in following standard processes and instructions
- Willingness to learn, grow and develop in the role and with our friendly team.

Specific skills/qualifications needed
Qualifications and experience required:
- Have proven process and packing experience in Food or Pharma environments.
- Well developed communication skills, both written and verbal and be able to provide clear direction and instruction and work as a part of a team.
Desirable:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing process worker role / packaging environment
- Demonstrate previous experience in the use and operation of Mackie Bin Bulk Handling systems and Ribbon blenders will be viewed favourably although not necessary
- GMP/HACCP/TGA and a strong understanding of food/pharmaceutical handling and cleaning practices/standards.
- Possess formal Certification in GMP/HACCP and/or Certificate III in Food and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing practices.
