THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the, Process Manager the Process Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the processing facility. The main objectives of the position include:
- Leading and managing the operations team in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Active collaboration on project integration and commissioning activities to ensure seamless implementation of new projects.
- Ensure that resources are developed and opportunities to improve the business are actively sought and progressed.
This is a permanent position, with a 8/6 roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Embody and lead a safe working culture, whilst ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety standards.
- Coordinate the delivery of production targets and oversee the daily concentrator production meetings.
- Balance operational productivity with plant maintenance requirements.
- Contribute to budget KPI plans and expenditures.
- Oversee shift supervisors and plant operators and build organisational capability through coaching, training, and feedback to enhance skills.
- Limit process interruptions and coordinate with shutdown planning.
- Seek ongoing improvement to processing systems to deliver efficient plant operations.
- Foster strong inter-departmental stakeholder relationships, particularly with metallurgists, process engineers and maintenance personnel.
ABOUT YOU:
- Proven experience in performing in a similar role within a processing environment (i.e. Superintendent or Managerial).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and the environment.
- Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes, incl:
- Work Health and Safety Act 2020,
- Work Health and Safety (Mines).
- Certificate in Frontline Management / Leadership or similar.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- WA C class driver’s license.
