THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the, Process Manager the Process Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the processing facility. The main objectives of the position include:
Leading and managing the operations team in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Active collaboration on project integration and commissioning activities to ensure seamless implementation of new projects.
Ensure that resources are developed and opportunities to improve the business are actively sought and progressed.
This is a permanent position, with a 8/6 roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Embody and lead a safe working culture, whilst ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety standards.
Coordinate the delivery of production targets and oversee the daily concentrator production meetings.
Balance operational productivity with plant maintenance requirements.
Contribute to budget KPI plans and expenditures.
Oversee shift supervisors and plant operators and build organisational capability through coaching, training, and feedback to enhance skills.
Limit process interruptions and coordinate with shutdown planning.
Seek ongoing improvement to processing systems to deliver efficient plant operations.
Foster strong inter-departmental stakeholder relationships, particularly with metallurgists, process engineers and maintenance personnel.
ABOUT YOU:
Proven experience in performing in a similar role within a processing environment (i.e. Superintendent or Managerial).
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
Strong commitment to safety and the environment.
Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes, incl:
Work Health and Safety Act 2020,
Work Health and Safety (Mines).
Certificate in Frontline Management / Leadership or similar.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
WA C class driver’s license.
