About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Process Team Member to join the team based at our manufacturing site in Schofields NSW. The position requires you to work day shift, consisting of 12 hour shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off.

Responsibilities for this key role will include:

• Meet and uphold required production rates consistently
• Ensure that the produced products meet specified quality standards
• Safely and accurately place bricks onto kiln cars, ensuring suitability for subsequent processes such as kiln firing and unloading
• Clean any dropped bricks during the shift before the shift ends
• Provide coverage for other operators when necessary
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns
• Strategically plan materials and equipment to minimize downtime
• Assist the reliability team during equipment breakdowns
• Operate machinery at optimal rates while prioritizing quality and safety
• Thoroughly complete Asset Care Management and preventative maintenance check sheets
• Adhere to correct product specifications rigorously
• Perform and document process and product measurements and tests accurately on various check sheets
• Possess technical expertise and comprehension of the process and machinery to competently operate the process and make necessary adjustments following work instructions

Skills & Qualifications required

To be considered for this role Ideally you will have.

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Sound computer literacy
• Sound understanding of computerised systems (SAP preferred)
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and knowledge of wide variety of equipment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders at all levels
• Resilience, with an ability to work with stakeholders to get the job done safely, and to the right standard
• An eye for continuous improvement and motivation to create change to improve processes
