Copper Resources Australia acquired the Rocklands site located 17km north of Cloncurry in December 2020 and and has recently undergone an intense re-commissioning phase of the process plant. The plant is now fully operational.
About the role
Reporting to the Process Supervisor, you will be part of a broader team involved in bringing copper from its raw state to a final product for export.
You will be required to:
- Monitor plant performance and work to maintain optimal operating conditions at all times and ensuring raw material is loaded, crushed, and blended under instruction in order to maintain optimal return on volume and grade.
- Report all equipment failures, incidents, and hazards immediately to appropriate personnel with a high level of responsibility for the safety of the team.
- Monitor process conditions and make adjustments as instructed by Supervisors, Metallurgists and Process Manager as necessary.
- Conduct analysis of operating conditions as required and ensure technical accuracy is maintained and ensuring final products are stored and dispatched in an appropriate and safe manner.
The desired candidates will have the following:
- Knowledge and experience in floatation, mill, control room and filtering processes.
- Transferable skills from any number of backgrounds such as metal trades, poly welding, landscaping or plumbing highly desirable.
- Current manual drivers’ licence.
- Loader ticket (RII).
- Forklift Ticket / Gantry Crane ticket.
- Working at Heights.
- Desirable Excavator ticket (RII).
- A commitment to Safe Work Practices and a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and able to work in hot and sometimes physically demanding conditions.
- Adhere to a "clean shaven" policy regarding respiratory PPE.
- Ability to complete alternate day and night shift.
