About our role

Northern Star has fantastic opportunities for experienced Process Technicians across our three major operational sites - Carosue Dam, Jundee and Thunderbox. These positions will require you to be responsible for keeping the Process Plant running safely and efficiently, and are offered on a 8-6/7-7 roster, FIFO ex Perth & select rosters from Busselton.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the effective recovery of gold from ore processed whilst minimising costs
• Monitoring the process with sampling procedures to ensure targeted metallurgical recoveries are being met
• The operation of the processing plant in accordance with process parameters and control limits
• The operation of the processing plant and equipment in accordance with documented safe work procedures
• Contributing to the development of safe working procedures
• Undertaking hazard analysis, ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported
• Compiling production data as required
• Participating in prestart meetings, and monthly safety meetings
• Identifying/reporting maintenance requirements for plant and equipment through the undertaking of workplace inspections
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping, cleanliness, and tidiness around the plant

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum 1-2 yrs experience working in a Gold processing plant
• High regard towards safety
• High level of attention to detail
• Australian C Class Driver's License
• Full Australian working rights
