The Tanami Expansion 2 project, aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.Join us and unearth your potential in a global company that is at the forefront of shaping the future of the mining industry.Reporting to the Processing Superintendent, you will be targeted with achieving the safety, production and budget targets through developing improvement strategies and coordinating the effective and efficient use of personnel, resources, plant and equipment.Working an 8/6 roster and alternating between days and nights you will proactively promote and adhere to NTO's Occupational Health and Safety, Environment and Community Relations policies and procedures, through consistent demonstration and active encouragement to all employees.Specifically, you will.
- Ensure your team is well resourced, trained and mentored so they are sufficiently skilled to complete allocated duties.
- Develop functional work plans for your team and schedule and allocate resources to ensure operational requirements are achieved in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure compliance with NTO safety standards by consistently demonstrating and encouraging safe work practices.
- Completing safety system audits and undertaking inspections and task observations and actively implementing solutions to resolve these issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with the Maintenance Supervisors to ensure optimum equipment performance and availability.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in the processing Plant.
- Liaise with the Metallurgical staff to ensure optimum metallurgical performance of the processing plant.
- Supervisory experience within a Mineral Processing Plant.
- Capability to achieve results in a dynamic and changing work environment.
- Interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Sound numeracy and literacy skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and the environment for the mining industry.
- Experience with automated computer control systems (SCADA).
- Current "A" Class Drivers Licence.
- Sound experience with Microsoft computer software.
- Experience in producing standard operating procedures (SOP's) and training documentation.
