Job Description
The procurement team is responsible for the end-to-end management of all procurement activities within the Australian region, including Regional Category Management, Sourcing & Contracts, Project Procurement and Purchasing. The team works with regional business and Supply Chain stakeholders to implement and manage performance of contracts and suppliers, grow the host community supply base and ensure effective supply of goods and services required for operation.
Key accountabilities:
- Provide support across the end-to-end procurement process including sourcing, negotiation to achieve commercially favorable outcomes, post award contract management including amendments, price reviews and benchmarking.
- Develop and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships with Anglo American's operations.
- Ensure execution of improvement initiatives to reach and exceed business plans.
- Adhere to global commercial standards that will enable delivery in a safe and socially acceptable way and ensure that the organisation sources from responsible suppliers.
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
- High level commercial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experienced stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and consult across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience using SAP ERP and ARIBA is desirable.
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline including Engineering, Business, or Law.
