About the role
The purpose of this position is to develop procurement intelligence from a range of data sources including business analysis, cost modelling, reporting and performance analysis. This will be used to inform procurement decisions and support performance improvement to assist the organization to meet its business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with key procurement and business partners to determine their business needs, and provide procurement reports and insights to inform procurement decisions and assist in the development of innovative procurement and category management strategies, policies and processes
- Identify and use the most appropriate analytical tools, techniques and systems to analyse and interpret a wide range of supplier and organisational information
- Develop, assess and provide reports for the effective management of supplier performance and to track and report on benefits delivered
- Gather and document requirements in preparation for multiple market approaches for services to meet organisational priorities
- Continually building knowledge of procurement and the business to enhance analysis
Essential:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in relation to consultation, influencing, conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture that encourages positive work relationships, a safe workplace, financial responsibility, innovation and productivity improvement.
- Strong data management and analytical skills
- Demonstrated working knowledge of an electronic purchasing / supply systems
- Tertiary Qualification in Business (Logistics & Supply Chain Management or related field) or significant procurement analytics experience in complex organisations.
- Knowledge of Health Purchasing Victoria legislative requirements.
- Previous experience within a hospital or health care environment management
- Knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the Victorian Health Experience Survey.
