About the Role
We are seeking a self-driven and experienced Procurement and Inventory Coordinator to manage, plan, and control inventory and procurement processes. This role ensures the timely, cost-effective, accurate, and quality supply of all raw and fabricated materials to meet our client's business needs.
Key Responsibilities (Not limited to)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure quality materials at competitive rates.
- Regularly review prices and supply, seeking opportunities for cost, quality, or availability improvements.
- Process purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and review vendor account reconciliations.
- Obtain and review supplier quotations for goods and services.
- Order stock in consultation with the Stock Controller at competitive rates.
- Manage the Micronet MRP system to monitor stock levels and ensure material supply aligns with production demands.
- Maintain ISO standards related to Procurement and Inventory management.
- Maintain accurate records and data integrity within the inventory system.
- Assist in managing stock takes and producing monthly stock reports.
- Investigate and rectify errors, update reorder points as demand changes
- Ensure accurate entry of delivery dockets.
- Assist with stocktakes and maintain inventory systems.
- Compile and supply transport documentation for local and export freight.
- Review supplier invoices against purchase orders and rates.
- Plan and schedule procurement of raw materials and components to meet demand and quality specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage purchase decisions and supplier accounts.
- Provide cost-benefit analyses and updates on procurement schedules.
- Prepare and submit reports as required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a procurement role.
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Experience in Procurement and Inventory control within fabrication and assembly processes.
- Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (Micronet, SAP, or similar).
- Strong decision-making and material control policy development skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Highly organised, process-driven, and able to remain calm under pressure.
