- Enhance your relationship management skills and experience by undertaking complex negotiations with industry, academia and other government agencies
- Gain exposure to the breadth of work across divisions and gain an understanding of the work programs whilst interacting with senior executives in Defence and external organisations
- Interact with a diverse set of external stakeholders and support partnering
- Develop a broader understanding of the organisation's strategic intent in partnering
- Drafting strategically important contracts and agreements in support of Defence Innovation, Science & Technology (IS&T)
- Establishing contracts and agreements from initiation to execution, including providing templates, guidance to team members, providing document advice and a final review on agreements, for senior divisional execution
- Providing advice, support and policy guidance for external agreements in a timely and accurate manner, and manage external agreements workflow
- Liaising and negotiating with stakeholders to recognise their priorities and develop solutions to meet their needs and expectations
- Interpreting and translating information between customers, Defence personnel, senior management and scientific teams to align strategic goals and project outcomes
- Generating briefing material, reports and other correspondence on engagements and undertake staff training briefings on industry engagement, business relationships, establishing agreements, and intellectual property
