Our client is a long running Australian owned transport business based in Brisbane's southside. They're seeking an up and coming procurement professional to join the team on a permanent basis.
Main Purpose of the Role:
- Coordinate procurement and supply chain for all production activities in collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Control inventory efficiency by ensuring the right products are available in the right quantities, at the right time, as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
- Develop trust and maintain relationships with all suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate procurement lead times to stakeholders.
- Ensure all materials, components, and parts are available at the start of the production cycle.
- Maintain appropriate physical inventory to prevent material shortages and production bottlenecks.
- Manage ERP system processes for procurement and inventory management.
- Generate and receipt purchase orders, manage inventory levels, and maintain purchasing information and preferred suppliers.
- Resolve supply issues and maintain trust with internal teams and suppliers.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure costs are controlled and within budget.
- Provide operational support and ticket logs for ERP system queries across all areas of the business.
- Proven experience in supply chain management and procurement.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management processes.
- Experience in coordinating with suppliers and maintaining supplier relationships.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of production and manufacturing supply cycles.
- Knowledge of procurement lead times and inventory control.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
