phase clinical trials facilities located in Nedlands and Joondalup where we focus on early phase clinical trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas.
Here at Linear that includes a broad oncology portfolio that continues to expand as we build the Advanced Cancer Trials Centre (ACTC), the first of its kind facility in Australia dedicated to bringing
novel therapies through clinical trials to the cancer patients of Western Australia. The ACTC is situated on the QEII Medical precinct, directly next to the WA State Cancer Centre.

Your role in our future
An exciting opportunity exists to join our Finance team to provide strategic and operational financial
support with budgets, planning and analysis to the EPU business unit, in order to enable more
effective, sustainable and informed decisions.
As a relationally driven and experienced finance and accounting professional, you will find this role
full of variety, challenge and responsibility reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Your time will be
spent:
- Act as the sole point of contact for all Early Phase Unit (EPU) operational reporting.
- Support the Director EPU to ensure programmatic success, offering support in cost analysis and compliance with contractual requirements and provide them with an operating budget and rolling forecast.
- Offer valuable insights into the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial outcomes within the EPU.
- Evaluate financial returns and risks associated with business development initiatives.
- Support the Director EPU on the strategic finance vision, including cultivating stakeholder relationships and contributing to the development and negotiation of contracts.
- Collaborate with the Linear CFO and Corporate Financial Planning & Analyst Manager periodically to comprehend and develop insights into operational performance, strategic planning, and budgets.
- Lead the development of requirements and apply technology to meet business needs.
- Ensure a solutions-focused and collaborative approach to working with internal stakeholders to analyse information needs and functional requirements.
Your experience
You will be an astute and experienced finance professional who thrives under pressure whilst
handling competing priorities with a relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce or Business. The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in building and cultivating meaningful
relationships as well as:
- A strong understanding of a holistic financial management environment, with extensive experience at both strategic and operational levels including financial and management accounting, budget management and forecasting, compliance and reporting, external audit and cashflow management in medium to large organisations.
- Ability to drive and lead business improvement and innovation to deliver outstanding service and genuine solutions for stakeholders with the resources available. Continually pursuing more effective and efficient ways of operating without diminishing the commitment to ensuring excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of business management and accounting principles to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
