The Role
As a senior member of the project procurement team for the expansion of the Mt Holland mine and concentrator. This role is responsible for developing and executing overarching project procurement strategies and directly managing high value/high risk procurement packages.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Procurement Lead will coordinate with all stakeholders in the supply chain in managing all project procurement and logistic activities including; pre award activities, purchasing, transportation, and contract administration for goods and services, supply chains, international trade management, purchase order placement and supplier expediting.
This is a Full time 12-Month Fixed Term Contract based at our Perth Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in close collaboration with the Manager Commercial on all strategic procurement matters.
- Lead the procurement and logistics activities in achieving the project objectives, obligations and expectations.
- Provide direction and guidance to the team and prioritise work effort as required.
- Work collaboratively with all Project functions to provide oversight and management of your packages.
- Evaluate project performance in close partnership with project management, Procurement and Purchasing teams.
- Work proactively, plan ahead, identify possible delay impacting events, resolve problems, program conflict and coordinate procurement and logistics activities.
- Inform Manager Commercial, Project Managers and Package Managers of any major issue and its remediation strategy.
- Provide budget and forecast inputs on key procurement items.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree qualified preferred and/or equivalent years of industry experience.
- Minimum 10 years procurement and supply chain management within a project environment.
- Experience with international supply.
- Experience in ERP, specifically SAP - S4 Hana.
