Purpose of Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. This role reports into the General Manager.
You will be responsible for the entire Procurement function across our retail brand (Daniel’s Donuts), wholesale brands (white label, including into both major supermarkets) and manufacturing.
Key to your role will be achieving cost savings by sourcing new suppliers, negotiating commercially sound contracts and ensuring materials and goods are on hand to meet demand in the retail and manufacturing operations at the best possible value. The role requires both hands-on work and a strategic outlook.
Key Responsibilities
The Procurement Manager will include but are not limited to:
- Develop an overall Procurement Strategy for the business identifying the key areas of focus for the future.
- Be the central contact and relationship manager for our key suppliers.
- Lead the research and identification of possible new suppliers and products.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms for new and existing supply arrangements.
- Measure and maintain current supplier usage and costs across the retail and manufacturing businesses.
- Identify cost savings opportunities with existing suppliers and source, negotiate and manage the implementation of new suppliers, products, and services.
- Develop and enhance procurement strategies, workflow and templates that support business objectives.
- Liaise with operations and manufacturing teams regularly to understand business needs and roll out new initiatives.
- Manage inventory levels across retail and manufacturing and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Build and develop key stakeholder relationships to understand their operations and procurement requirements.
- Develop and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements in procurement operations.
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrated experience in purchasing and/or other supply chain/project management.
- Technical and commercial understanding.
- You have an independent and result-oriented way of working, strong analytical thinking skills, negotiation skills, persuasiveness and a high level of team orientation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Relationship building skills with the ability to form relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and act decisively.

Salary: $110,000-$130,000
