Procurement Manager - Food Manufacturing

An Australian food manufacturer experiencing on-going demand and growth through acquisition, our client provides high quality and innovative products to a range of industries and major supermarket chains. An energetic, vibrant and agile team, the business is always seeking ways to improve and become more efficient.

As the Procurement Manager, you will be reporting to the Head of Business Design & Transformation and have a  one direct report, a Procurement Category Buyer. You will be someone that strives for continuous improvement and superior quality, be passionate with a can-do attitude. 

You will be accountable for the sourcing and supply across categories to facilitate a reliable supply chain for the business. We are seeking a person that is strategic, big picture and can collaborate across business functions.

Your strong communication skills will see you be able to influence and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring supplier risk management, develop supplier agreements and establish contracts at optimal market prices with a strategic mindset.

With a minimum of seven years’ procurement experience including strategic procurement, you will be APICS/CPIM and degree qualified. You will be someone that is agile, able to think on your feet and have demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment such as food, beverage or FMCG industries. 

With a strong senior leadership team supporting you, you will be given opportunity to influence and contribute to the on-going success of the business, supplying high quality food products to market.
