Your role
- Provide advice to, and work collaboratively with, staff to develop tender and contract documentation for low-risk or routine engagements using appropriate procurement strategies, in accordance with government policy.
- Participate in effective negotiation and placing of contractual arrangements which are robust and effective; provide value for money; and enable effective supplier performance management.
- Maintain open communication and consultation with key stakeholders to ensure all procurement processes are compliant and inclusive.
- Assist in developing the organisation's corporate procurement function through identifying and actively promoting continuous improvement activities.
- Provide guidance, training and support to build and/or enhance procurement capability across the organisation.
About you
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong commitment to shared values, and a broad skillset that includes:
- Demonstrated experience as a procurement professional, delivering and supporting activities throughout the procurement cycle, including end-to-end management of tender processes and development of quality corporate contracts with defined performance measures.
- Demonstrated ability to apply procurement principles and successfully manage contracts whilst maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strict attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality services in an ethical and efficient manner.
- Proven commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.
