Workforce Relations Senior Manager
About the company:
Northern Territory Government Agency tasked with providing information and technology services across NT Government Agencies. This government agency is currently seeking an experience Manager to join their Corporate Services - Workforce Relations team to deliver workforce services to clients in the Alice Spring area.
About the role:
As the Workforce Relations Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing mentorship and leadership to a team, as well as providing specialist and complex HR case management resolutions. You will also be providing high level advice and support on workforce service matters, through a client-focused enterprise model. Additional key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Provide high level Workforce Relations and Workforce Development advice, guidance and coaching to clients across a range of workforce matters
- Case manage complex workplace issues such as disputes/grievances, discipline, medical, investigations and inability, recommending appropriate courses of action for resolution and early intervention strategies.
- Provide recruitment, change management and organisational design advice and support to agencies consistent with best practice and aligned to legislative frameworks.
- Triage case management / workload within the team, managing timeframes and take the lead in more complex matters
- Collaborate in the development of contemporary HR management strategies, policies, procedures, and internal documentation aligned to corporate objectives, legislation, and public sector initiatives
About you:
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated Management and Leadership experience leading a team in HR and Case Management
- High level communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to establish collaborative relationships at all levels to positively influence human resource practices
- Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to interpret and apply legislation
- Extensive demonstrated experience and contemporary knowledge of strategic HR management and organisational effectiveness.
