The Opportunity
As our business continues grow, Black Cat Civil are looking to fill a newly created role in our support services team. The Parts Procurement Officer will be based from our Darwin office, coordinating the procurement of parts and consumables for our fleet of earthmoving equipment, trucks and light vehicles.
The position will not only source and procure parts on behalf of the business but will need to coordinate and communicate timeframes to our regional and remote operations.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
• Regularly engage with our preferred suppliers to source marketing leading prices for parts and consumables.
• Extensive communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding outstanding part orders.
• PO creation and reconciliation
• Participate in fleet meetings with regional workshops.
• Ad hoc procurement including but not limited to tooling, containers, lifting gear and project consumables.
• Receive freight and dispatch to required locations
• Collate quotes and estimates as directed by BCC management.
What we're looking for
The successful applicant will have:
• Experience in parts ordering and dispatch services
• Competent understanding and experience working with civil earthmoving equipment.
• Demonstrated experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop relationships, support the team and enjoy themselves in a dynamic team environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Caterpillar machines and parts, knowledge with Kenworth and Isuzu trucks would be highly regarded
