Procurement Officer
Area9 IT Solutions is a well known, innovative and dynamic IT solutions and service-delivery company based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, with a diverse client base across a number of industry sectors.
We have a position available for a Procurement Administrative Officerbased in Darwin, N.T.
In this role you will provide support in the sale, procurement and supply of IT hardware and software products within agreed timeframes with a focus on accuracy and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Sales support and administrative tasks supporting the sales and procurement function of Area9;
- Ordering of products from various suppliers using computer based accounting systems;
- Customer interaction, keeping customers informed of order progress;
- Order processing and tracking;
- Assisting in stock logistics and management, including dispatch of goods to customers, and manual handling of inventory;
- Coordinating with freight companies;
- Compiling relevant data, preparing and providing customer reports;
- Coordinating and tracking of warranty calls;
- Administrative tasks and support relating to the warranty service life cycle;
- General office administration duties, such as: phone, data entry/word processing, collating and preparing various documents;
- Other related duties as required.
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role and/or 5 years' experience in an administrative role;
- Liaising with customers and suppliers;
- Demonstrated understanding of Procurement Administrative processes (e.g. quoting, ordering, receipting, invoicing, delivery, returns and payments)
- Demonstrated experience taking ownership and driving resolution on customer issues;
- Proficient in Word and Excel, minimum intermediate level;
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral;
- Experience or knowledge in IT products would be advantageous.
