About the Role

They now seek a dynamic and proactive Procurement Officer to join their team. This role is perfect for an energetic all-rounder who is ready to take on a variety of responsibilities and work closely with their Management Team. In this autonomous and hands-on role, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations and effective procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Processes: Identify, develop, and review procurement processes to ensure cost-effective expenditure on goods.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with group purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers, manage vendor relationships, and resolve disputes regarding deliveries, paperwork, and warranty claims.
  • Coordination: Work with warehouse staff for proper storage and liaise with internal stakeholders for timely delivery of manufactured goods to customers.
  • Financial Support: Assist the Financial Controller with Accounts Payable.
  • Office Management: Oversee general office management and maintain high levels of WH&S.
  • Reporting: Generate regular shipping reports and handle other ad-hoc duties as required.
Skills and Experience
As the ideal candidate and to make the transition as smooth as possible, you will possess the following key attributes:
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a mature and can-do attitude.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Systems Improvement: Experience in reviewing systems, processes, and procedures to implement improvements in procurement.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Multitasking Ability: Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Energetic Personality: An energetic and enthusiastic personality suitable for a fast-paced environment.
