Your Opportunity
Based in our CBD Project Office, the Procurement Officer/Senior Procurement Officer will be focused solely on Primero’s $1Billion Construction Project, a Greenfields Upgrade of a Gold Processing Plant in Kalgoorlie.
Responsible for the administration functions surrounding purchasing and expedient provision of all required goods and services in accordance with the Primero policies, procedures and guidelines.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage Purchase Requisitions and Purchase orders based on the requirements of various departments, ensuring timely approvals and processing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to clarify specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and issue Non-Disclosure Agreements to tenderers
- Draft and issue Request for Quote/ Invitation to Tenders
- Manage tender clarifications, addendums
- Receive tenders, distribute tenders for technical review, commence commercial bid evaluation, draft Recommendation for Award for approvalDraft Contract document and award Contract to Supplier
- Raise Purchase Orders in Dynamic365
- Expedite Contract execution, Securities and Insurances
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that purchasing activities align with governance and compliance requirements.
- Provide support to Project Engineer’s with post award procurement activities e.g. progress claims, drafting contract variations, expedite approvals, process variation in Dynamic365
- Work closely with the Accounts Payables team in Perth to ensure timely payments.
- Escalate and resolve any Purchase Order, Vendor Onboarding etc
- Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes. Ensure timely processing of invoices to facilitate prompt payments to vendors. Work closely with the Accounts Payables team to ensure timely payments.
- Provide ongoing support and answer queries to ensure adherence to procurement policies and best practices. Deliver training sessions for internal stakeholders to familiarize them with the Procure to Pay process as required.
What You ‘Can Do’
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated procurement experience.
- Sound commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and manage vendor relationships effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Highly motivated self-starter, with a proactive mindset.
- High standard of honesty, integrity, reliability, and professionalism
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering results in a transactional purchasing role (P2P)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all business units
