Peoplebank are recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to work for their Adelaide CBD based client on a 6 month contract (with another 6 month extension likely).Procurement is a key component for our clients strategic technology plan. Specifically, we are ideally looking for a Procurement professional with experience in sourcing software solutions and services.The role of the Software Procurement Specialist / Lead will be to:
- Expertly navigate internal Procurement Policies and Governance Processes to ensure appropriate adherence while still delivering the intended purpose and outcomes of the procurement.
- Provide expertise and leadership to deliver best practice procurement and contract management advice and outcomes.
- Work with stakeholders across ICT and the wider business to maintain and execute the Technology Procurement Plan that underpins their Strategic Technology Plan
- Plan and steer procurement execution of market approaches leading to best-fit requirements, value for money, and risk minimised solutions and contracts.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure all activities and documentation are completed in accordance with internal procurement frameworks.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and strategies working with the wider procurement team and business stakeholders.
- Practical experience in procuring software solutions and services leading to substantial (multi-million-dollar) contracts that are readily manageable and reflect appropriate risk-sharing and meaningful performance criteria.
- Experience with or can quickly understand and apply government procurement policy and adhere to its highly-regulated procurement processes.
- Excellent and efficient communication skills to understand the requirements of senior leaders and document those requirements accurately and concisely to successfully navigate procurement governance stage gate milestones.
- Well organised and able to coordinate multiple threads of work that may be running at different paces.
- Self-driven, high initiative, practical, outcome focused - able to understand what needs to be done and in the appropriate order.
