An Australian manufacturing business based in Scoresby are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team.
The Procurement Specialist engages with key stakeholders in the business to ensure that best value procurement and supply chain capabilities are being practiced at all stages of the Product Development Cycle to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Automotive, manufacturing or engineering industry experience beneficial.
- Min. 5+ years of experience in similar role across technical and strategic sourcing.
- Strong demonstrable experience with sourcing, supplier relationship management, planning and forecasting, and inventory management.
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations.
- Experience in low to med volume, short lead time procurement.
- Formal training and/or experience with supply chain management software and tools frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma or Business Process Re-engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
