What you'll do: As a Vendor and Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the procurement function of our client's organisation. Your primary focus will be on enhancing vendor relationships, establishing robust performance KPIs, and leading contract review and negotiation processes. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their vendor needs, monitor vendor performance against established KPIs, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Developing and implementing strategies for improving vendor relationships
Establishing vendor performance KPIs to ensure quality service delivery
Leading contract review and negotiation processes to secure favourable terms
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their vendor requirements
Monitoring vendor performance against established KPIs and taking corrective action where necessary
Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in contract management
What you bring: The ideal Vendor and Contracts Manager will bring a wealth of experience in both vendor management and contract management. You will have a degree in law or an equivalent background in contract management. Your strong negotiation skills will enable you to secure favourable terms during contract reviews. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be key in building strong relationships with vendors. Furthermore, your ability to develop effective performance KPIs will ensure quality service delivery from vendors. An understanding of relevant laws and regulations is also essential for this role.
Proven experience in Vendor and/or Contract Management within a procurement function
A degree in law, business, economic or equivalent is desired
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms
Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong vendor relationships
Ability to develop and implement effective vendor performance KPIs
Understanding of relevant laws and regulations in contract management
