The Job
The ABC has a contract vacancy for a highly motivated content maker able to thrive in a time critical environment. Working to the Editor, you will be able to create engaging cross-media content for the local audience.
The successful applicant will be primarily waking up the local community as they present the breakfast radio program, but may be required to create content elsewhere.
You will enjoy working in a small team and have a record of being a positive team member. In addition you'll have a love of radio but also understand how to use social media and online content to engage a diverse demographic of listeners.
You’ll have:
- Qualified program making skills with a proven ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for target audience
- Sound editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.
- Demonstrated understanding and passion to source and create authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community, including stories that reflect a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and Indigenous communities where editorially relevant.
