Job description

About the role

At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive. We’re making this happen by improving the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our customers so they can achieve incredible things– whether they’re buying a home, building a business, or saving for things big or small.
The Product and Services Delivery Lead is responsible for driving the strategic vision and roadmap of key business lending services and delivery teams in Commercial Lend & Grow. The role has both a strong technology and business focus, ensuring key technology assets are managed effectively and efficiently to deliver priority business outcomes, serving a broad range of stakeholders. The role is focused on both the ‘what’ and ‘how’ a team delivers, responsible for inspiring team members to achieve their shared mission by guiding them on prioritising and delivering great customer outcomes. The Product and Services Delivery Lead also ensures that the work is strategically aligned to the Commercial Lend & Grow mission and engages with other teams (internal and external to Commercial Lend & Grow) to align and manage interdependencies. The role is responsible for leading a team of leaders, while galvanising the broader team around a vision, building capability, and supporting them to successfully deliver customer value at pace and with clarity. The Product and Services Delivery Lead is also responsible for nurturing the growth of their people to ensure they are inspired by a sense of purpose and are continually building their mastery and autonomy. It is a key leadership role on the Commercial Lend & Grow Leadership Team (LGLT), requiring breadth of experience previously in a senior leader team environment, and a confident voice that is expected to contribute strongly and add value to the broader Lend & Grow business.
Role Location: Melbourne VIC
Role Type: Permanent / Full time

Role Accountabilities

This role is accountable for the following:

  • Lead a large cross-functional team of business and technology resources across multiple geographies running operational run and change service activities.
  • Define the product area work, including the dependencies across product areas and other teams.
  • Break the work down and manage the backlog of work with your team leads, including capacity to deliver and prioritisation.
  • Ensure delivery of agreed features, proactively allocating work across the teams and managing budgets, risks, and dependencies across the Product and Services Delivery team.
  • Create a safe environment where people are engaged in the work, motivated to deliver, and feel part of a highly effective team where it is safe to take up your role and raise concerns.
  • Manage key Commercial Lend & Grow technology assets, delivering incremental change and ensuring a well-managed business. This includes managing the performance of critical vendor relationships and outcomes.
  • Drive delivery of key product initiatives (simplification and proposition related), looking end to end to ensure business and technology combine to achieve desired organisational and customer outcomes.
  • Contribute a voice of experience, challenge, and conviction to the LGLT, collaborating strongly with the LGLT to collectively deliver the critical priorities for the Commercial Division.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a large, complex BAU and operational change agenda, especially with a strong technology and business services focus.
  • Proven analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to quickly gather information on the progress of work and communicate this to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to pivot and adapt quickly if priorities change due to unforeseen circumstances (for example due to a service outage, system defect, security issue or similar incident)
  • Identify, monitor, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, agreeing appropriate risk responses.
  • Successfully built a network of strong relationships, with an ability to influence key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Outstanding people and business leadership capabilities, with demonstrated experience in a “leader of leaders” capacity.
  • Strong communications skills, along with the ability to quickly create clarity and simple messaging for a range of different stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Proven experience of strategic, broad thinking and mindset in a senior leadership team environment; capable of being a strong, respected and valued voice among the LGLT.

You will also have demonstrated competencies and skills in the following:

  • Delivery Management: The practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and embedding an initiative, product, program, campaign or change to achieve a set of objectives or outcomes (for customers, employees, the organisation and/or the market). This includes identifying, tracking, resolving, and managing dependencies.
  • Planning and Prioritisation: Planning and prioritising what needs to be done (including people, process, and technology implications) in order to deliver upon customer/user needs and strategic priorities. This includes identifying, planning for, tracking, and resolving dependencies.
  • Data Interpretation: Using data and reporting to draw insights to problem solve and/or inform business or customer decisions.
  • People Management: Managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle: from attraction, recruitment and on-boarding to performance, development, remuneration, workforce planning, career planning and managing exits with respect.
  • Developing People: The ability to support the development of self and others in line with individual's aspirations, growth goals and business needs.
  • Team Building: Helping to foster a healthy working culture. Enabling and facilitating a safe and supportive work or team environment, where our people are inspired and motivated to grow, thrive, and deliver value.

You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we’d love to hear from you.

So, why join us?

We offer a range of benefits tailored to the countries in which we operate including Health and Wellbeing programs and flexible working arrangements.
You’ll also enjoy working in a diverse and inclusive workplace where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated.
